Another Optispark failure maybe...
94 LT1 6sp, had 1.6RR's installed along w leaking exhaust gaskets (7&8).
Rockers were properly zero back lashed at each TDC & further tweeked @idle. Nothing disturbed electrically. Very smooth idle. Test drove w much improved acceleration until @ turnaround when engine died @ idle restarted OK w slight miss. Returned to garage couldn't accelerate beyond 72mph engine faltered & finally died in front of garage unable to restart.
Owned this little red beast for 12 yrs. Replaced first OS last Aug w new eng change.(127K) 2nd failure due to pin hole leak in TB hose and a pigtail failure(OS to coil).(142K) Bought the MSD distr for mothballing. Good timing maybe. The beast is currently in the garage awaiting checking thrown codes. How bout your insights on this??
