Happy Memorial Day to all current, past, and future Veterans. I salute you for your service and sacrifice . To my Air Force buddy Scott serving in Baghdad - stay safe my friend.
Please post a pic of you in your uniform and your vette. If you are deployed and can't post, let's see your car, same if you used to serve and cannot fit in your uniform anymore .
I know this thread has been done before, but haven't they all been done once or twice......?
My dad on the left ( O-4 ) and my self on the right ( At the time E-3 )
The picture was taken in Kuwait.
This is a picture of my vette at the dealership.

You guys all rock, thanks for everything
Love it, Dad is Army, son Marine
I was Army E-5 when I got out, my brother is an active Army O-5 who just returned from the sand box -- and our Dad was AirForce, so I see the humor in this, it always makes the holidays a blast
I'm "in between ranks" right now. I was med-boarded out in 06, I've been trying to get back in ever since. (it wasn't my choice, they had to throw me out) just because my spine is crushed and I have ulcerated colitis, they say I can't play anymore. It takes more than that to keep a Sapper down. I can still score over a 270 on a PT test. I may be close to getting back in the 'Gaurd. A year there, then transfer back to active duty.
Oops, I rambled again. I didn't mean to shift this thread off subject. Memorial Day is to remember all those who didn't make it home. I have a few friends in that club, myself. ...and to all those who still serve or have served, you have my deepest respect and admiration! Thank you all!
aminnich,
I served in the USAF also, from 69 to 73. I was an F4 Fighter Jet flightline mechanic, also in England, and dealt w/crew chiefs daily.
God was with me the day they cut my orders (had volunteered for Viet Nam, but was sent to Bentwaters/Woodbridge).
God bless all who served and are now serving this great Country.
Dion, thank you for starting this thread.
Unlike Barack Hussein Obama, I place my hand over my heart during the Pledge of Allegiance and I have nothing but respect for all our boys in uniform.
I silently thank each of those who made the ultimate sacrifice. Guys who were just regular guys who gave everything they could to support this country. I can't think of any better definition of the word "Hero" than a fallen soldier.
