Getting ready to buy a front spoiler kit for my '96---here's my question--has anyone had good luck buying aftermarket as far as the finished appearance/fit--OR am I better off sticking with OEM?
I bought mine from Corvette Central. It fit fine, with zero issues. If I have to buy another one, I am thinking of getting the one from MAM that has the brake cooling ducts built in.
I also got the Corvette Central non-OEM set for my '96, and had no fitment issues. I recently installed the center air dam brace, which my car didn't come with - I found that it raised the center section just enough that I don't scrape as often as I used to, and I clear some curbs now.

So is that center brace not supposed to be there? What is the deal with it? Because mine had it when I bought mine and was wondering if it was supposed to?

Thanks for all the feedback guys --i'm gonna check into that air dam brace too.

From what I understand, the brace should have been installed by the dealers, but a lot of cars didn't get them. There's a hole in the center section of the air dam for it to bolt to.
My '95 has a brace. I recently replaced the left section of the air dam with an aftermarket from Ecklers. Fits and looks like OEM. No issues at all.

Nothing is better than OEM,never.Ive heard the aftermarket parts are junk anyway.
Some have had problems with the spoiler cracking-they are not as flexible
That could be true - I have a little crack in one section of my Corvette Central spoiler, but i think I dinged it pretty hard. On the other hand, at $45 or so a set, they're about as close to a disposable item as you could imagine for a Vette.

just installed one yesterday from Corvette America, $44. Why did i wait so long to change at that price?
I got mine from Corvette America. It's a POS! Bolt holes didn't line up. Had to make a whole for the front brace. Just junk! It's on there now but not for long! Don't buy one from them!!!!

Thanks I've definently made up my mind--even tho' some seem to have had good luck w/Corvette Central--with my luck I'd get one that wouldn't fit correctly-- and I generally have good luck with OEM--Thanks to all!!
