Targa Top help...

Targa Top help...
I'm going to be looking into buying a 92-96 vette in the near future, what of those years did the targa top come standard on the coupe? I've seen a few listings here and there but they all seem to be normal tops. I was under the impression that shy of a few choice years, every vette coupe was a targa. Any help is much appreciated.

Targa tops were standard on coupes from 1984-1999. (I'm not sure exactly what year the Fixed roof coupe came out). Anyway all C3's coupes had t-tops, and all C4 coupes had targa tops. If you mean the "glass" top as opposed to the painted fiberglass top, it was an option on all C4's.

Sounds like you need to be reading-up on all things C4, not just whether all coupes had targas.

Actually, the painted fiberglass tops were standard (if that's what you mean by "normal"). The clear acrylic tops were an option; either a substitute for the fiberglass (RPO 24S or 64S) or an addition to the fiberglass (RPO C2L).
