this is why even though the vette is every bit the performer as any other world super car that it is considered a step below. can you imagine anyone with a lambo or a ferrari doing something like this to their cars? no. no one in their right mind would ruin that car with such idiotic "customizing". but yet they feel it is perfectly ok to do that to a vette.
I think they are all special in their own way It is neat to see others ideas and eventhough the car as a whole may not look good there might (big might) be a idea or 2 on them that somebody will like.
HOWEVER this thread could really take off if you would start using forum members cars this way the owners would be able to "comment" on the replies.
And as usual.............
Anything beyond custom wheels gets bashed all to hell and back around here.
This thread is about nothing but bashing other people's cars. None of the owners of these cars asked anyone's opinion and, I'm pretty sure, no one here "wasted' any of their money in any of these cars. I see threads on this forum, frequently, where someone bubbafies their car and everyone is soooo approving. Nevermind that when they get tired of it, & sell it, someone is gonna have to fix it and do it right. Wonder how many of us have bought these POS where the wiring has been so screwed up, by that "custom stereo install/super stealth security system? Or, the guys who cut their engine harnesses because we arn't gonna use that emissions part anymore. BUT, the outside looks stock, so it's all OK right? People have been customizing their Vettes since the 50's. So what? It's their car, let'm do what they wanna do. Body mods are the easiest to reverse. We are the only forum that diss's other cars to this extent. Nothing is so boring as to see 50 exactly the same cars in one place. These cars all have their place, and, should be viewed in the correct context. Put em in a car show and see which one gathers the most attention, a run of the mill, stock (put whatever year u want here), or a modifed to the hilt ride. While I might not make the same mods to my car, I do appreciate the effort, time, and money that went into each one of these examples. I'm really sure if any of these owners visited this forum, they'd be raring to participate-NOT!! I, for one, am glad my Vette is not a carbon copy of everyone elses. Off rant
The reason you see this done to Corvettes and not the EXPENSIVE foreign supercars is just that. They are cheap and people who's taste is all over the map but mostly in their mouth do outrageous things to them so that 12 year olds think the car is really COOL.
