i had a shop take off my bumper when i was taking out gas tank. when i got it back the same day i realized one of my blinkers was out. i called to tell them and they said to bring it back. when i got there they said it was company policy to check those things before it leaves the shop..... so they were basically saying my light went out in the 30 minutes between leaving the shop and whenmy cousin said my blinker was out. the shop said they will have to remove the bumper again inorder to change the blinker. is this true???
The easiest way is to begin by removing the rear license plate. With that gone, remove the backup light housings.
That will give you enough room to put your hand and arm through the license plate frame opening and reaching in behind the tail lamp housings (small hands and arms will help here!!)
Each of the lamp housings are held in by 2 10mm nuts. You should be able to feel them. Starting with the inboard lamp, remove the nuts using a 1/4" drive socket and gently push the housing out of the rear facia. Remove the socket. With the inside lamp out, it will be easy to get to the nuts holding the outboard lamp housings.
