Default Deck lid adjustment????

Is there an adjustment for the rear deck lid on a convertible? My wife's new 89 doesn't sit flush with the top down even after adjusting the rubber feet. I thought I saw a post some time ago about this but, now that I need it I can't find.

Thanks for any and all help

Why with just the top down? The lock handles on the stored top need to be brought back to the closed position or they hit the bottom of the rear deck lid. The bottom of the deck lid is grooved to accomodate the closed lock handles. If you leave them open, they hit. That or you top is not going down all the way.

top is going down all the way, but, when the lid is closed the front portion is abourt a 1/2" higher. The body seam, gap in other words, is larger in the front than rear. Handles are folded in. There has to be some type of adjustment on the latches but, I can't figure it out.

I have a 94 vert and seem to have a similar problem. When I put the top down and close the lid, it does not close properly on the passenger side. I am also wondering if there is any way to adjust the top so that
the lid will close without extra help.

I have the same problem on my 93, the lid closes and latches properly, but simply does not sit flush on the passenger side. The latch mechanism mounts to a plate which bolts to the pillar behind the door. The FSM says to loosen the bolts which hold the plate to the pillar and adjust up or down as necessary as if that's humanly possible. Problem is: access to the nuts is blocked by the latch itself. I am debating trying to remove the latch from the plate first?

bump for ideas?

Default I've been struggling with this for almost two years!

Here's what I know so far...

The latches are electronically actuated via the yellow button behind drivers seat.
There are redundant, mechanical cable actuated releases--on both latches--as backup if electronics fail. On my car, the latch mechanism and the cable pull on passenger side are both loose. I unbolted the J piece from lid and seated in latch which and it seated real loosey goosey.
The rubber bump stops turned up or down DO NOT effect whether the latches are functioning correctly...

My questions are:

Can the latches be tighten up? Has anyone here have experience doing that?
Can they be repaired? Are they rebuildable?
Or do they have to be replace?
Has anyone here replaced their latches?
Im assuming that there are no repro parts, junkyard find?
Any help much appreciated!!
