I have a 1987. Several of the electrical connectors (mostly sensor boots) are falling apart. Where can I get new ones? Also I know the location of these but not the names. Is there a diagram or picture that would help me come up with the correct names
You can go to places like NAPA and they should have the connectors you are looking for. In some cases you will just cut the existing wire and splice the new one in. In other cases you will have to pull apart the old connector and crimp new conections onto the old wire and then slip them into the new connector. Often this is done by pulling the wire thru the new connector first. To do this you may need a special crimping tool. Not sure it they carry that (cheaply or not). The tool I have came from a friend when he was re-wiring his Peterbuilt. That tool was about $160.00 (8-9 years ago)!
If the weather-pack housing is cracked, you can buy the tool to remove the terminals and wire and simply reinstall them in a new housing without cutting, splicing or crimping any new wires.
