I bought mine directly from speedbleeder.com - I'd read about problems with other brands.

That's good enough for the girls I go with. Over torquing is the only problem I see, 79 in-lbs/6.6fp, not much. Doubt you could get a torque wrench on it anyway.

Cheers

Wish I had seen this a few weeks ago before I ordered a set from one of the "name" vendors. But they arrived in three days - 2 sets of speed bleeders and a peerformance bias spring, packed in a USPS box 12" x 12" x 8". How's that for conservation.

I grabbed them when I saw the price! I got the only "two" left in my region...didnt say if it was individuals or pairs. So I called the home office and the guy on the other end said they were in pairs and advance was discontinuing them, "due to sales". I never trust the accuracy of the home office when inquiring about parts.

I can confirm not all brands work the same. I bought a set at the parts store (made in USA) that did not want to seal properly at any reasonable torque. I was afraid I would strip the threads out of the caliper before the screw stopped leaking. That would take the shine off the bargain price.

If so inclined might try running a thread chaser in your fitment problem..mine worked perfectly. Major caution: grease the chaser you obviously don't want foreign object damage (FOD) in your brake system. Shine is still there thank you.

Cheers

There was no problem with the threads on the ones I purchased, the tapered seal was slightly different. They may have been an entirely different brand than the ones you found, just pointing out they are not all the same.

Like to get a pilot report on that $20 bias spring.
