Can someone give me a list of what to buy pipe wise for a muffler delete on my 93 LT1. I want to use the LT1 tips, but need size and length of what pipe to buy before cutting. Thanks in advance!!
I paid a muffler shop $50 to cut out the mufflers and replace them with straight pipes. With the LT1, the converters muffle a lot of the sound, so it isn't bad at all, plus I have the original mufflers if later someone wants to change back.
like i said, muffler shop cut my stock ones, welded this universal ones
and im pretty happy with them.
Nice deep sound and not terrible loud! but i can hear it well from the cockpit...

Just buy them already made up from one of the catalogs, they call them muffler eliminators
I'm sure he new that much...The prices in the MAM catalog is $200.00 plus shipping, and they don't offer the LT1 tips he's looking for...If folks are getting their LT1 tips cut off and having a muffler shop do it for alot less..more power to them!! He's asking for measurements and pipe sizes...DUH!
SO...I guess this makes TWO useless replies that don't answer the OP's question.
Pipe is 2 3/4", but you will need a shop that can bend and form it, plus the tips. I found Magnaflow tips on ebay that I liked and had a local shop do the work. t cost less than $100, looks and sounds like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OAReLmJLTlk
