Some of you want to know why your car runs warmer then it should..
Hmmm maybe this could be one of the reasons!!!!

THE PICTURE BELOW LOOKS LIKE A BIRDS NEST,ITS ROAD BUILD UP

ANOTHER VIEW OF BUILD UP,SOME OF WHICH FELL OFF WHILE REMOVING RADIATOR..

This is very old stuff... been said and done 100x over. Try using the search function, you'll find that anything you post has already been said.

So I guess they should just close the forum and call it "Corvette Archives"
because ANYTHING we post has already been said 100x.

.....which reminds me, maybe I should start a wave thread.

Thanks for bringing it up, ol school. That's the beauty of this forum - information that helps all of us. I know I would not have thought about this being a problem let alone having thought to do a search on previous postings about it.

In reality, there is nothing "new"; but again, since it's new to me and obviously to you, it's helpful to bring up.

Thanks ol school! I appreciate the time you took to post this. A friendly nudge about stuff like this never hurt anyone and helps to remind us of things that can be overlooked over time.

I am just wondering if comments like this are really necessary?

I for one am a fairly new corvette owner (noob), and I sometimes cannot find what I am looking for in the search engine, or there is SO much info , and conflicting advice, that if I find something that I need an answer for, where else do I go, or make a comment, or for the matter of the OP in this situation, encourage him to participate?

To my knowledge, this forum is not owned by certain members, its to discuss and enlighten and help one another when we can.

Perhaps a more positive attitude would attribute to a more friendly atmosphere.

I enjoy coming on the forum, and reading any and all new info shared by others, whether it be old or new. I also agree that sometimes a subject is beat to death, but for someone new, it isnt.

I apologize if this ruffles any feathers.

Laura

Vinnies87 point about using the search function is correct, but what would that have proved? And pictures always tell a better story. Good post Ol School, don't let one negative guy stop you, all info gratefully received.

Thank you for calling this to the attention of those Forum members that aren't familiar with this problem. It seems like you had some buildup of crap. You're sure to run cooler now.

Thanks for the post ol school I just bought my vette a few weeks ago and everything is new to me. Mine runs hot and that will be the first thing I check this weekend. How hard is it to remove the shroud?
