gauge clusters need some help
does any one know if a gauge cluster from a 89 vette will work in a 84 vette. i just picked up a 84 with 54 k on the ticker has not seen the road since 1990 its pretty deteriorated but salvagable.
its amazing how some people will take a perfectly good car with no issues and just let it sit for years untill there is nothing left of it. i just do not get it.

I don't think an 89 cluster will work on the 84. I remember reading that the dash clusters from 84-89 were year specific due to improvements it also made a difference if the car had cruise control or not. Also the 84 dash used a different "font" on the numeric displays then the 85-89 dashes

yep thats the one its pretty beat up. not from abuse just the weather i guess.
the car actually runs pretty well
(after fluid changes rotted o2 sensor and 4 gallons of water in the gas tank!!! LOL )wires plugs etc.
