Default When you upgrade your wheels, what do you do with your old ones ?

Hi guys
Most of us are not happy with the stock wheels and want an upgrade
i switched from 87 16" inch wheels (for me 84-87 looks the same)
to a set of 89 17" inchers ! What a change
i would really love to have a 1990 set.-
But im fine for now.-

-Do you store just in case you'll need 'em for originality purposes? so you can go back to stock/original ?

- Do you sell them to make more $ for mods / upgrades ?

- You give them away ?

Well, I voted for "save them so I can go back to stock", which I probably never will.

The Turbines are in 2 boxes in my garden shed, I'd sell 'em, cheap, if someone locally wanted them, but they sit collecting dust and dead bugs in the shed for now.

I would not change from the original wheels, I like them. However I've seen some beautiful wheels here on the forum that makes you think about it.

I've tried to sell mine, but they are still sitting on the back porch. Been thinking about getting some adapters so I can run them on my truck. Once I finish the brake upgrade on the vette, the stock sawblades won't fit anymore.

I sold my C5 wheels here in the Forum. Sold the to a C4 owner in Tennesse. It was a lerning experience, I've never shipped via Fed-Ex.

I saved mine, they make a good set to put on rollers when they come off the jack stands.

I still have mine. Though I'd probably sell them if they were worth something. Not a huge demand for OEM wheels, since most people already have them.

I sold mine because they were just taking up space, and believe it or not, I got $260.00 bucks for them!

I did the 1984 to 1996 GS clone thing and replaced my 1984 stock rims with AR five spokes with brand new 275's & 315's that never saw the road. They never saw the road as I also did the C5 brake swap and the AR's didn't clear the calipers (bad clearance measuring on my part). So I went ahead and ordered a set of CCW SP500's with 275's & 335's that I run now following my Dana 44 swap with the C5 brakes. My basement resembles a C4 parts bin.

I am a pack rat so I have the 1984 rims, a set of C5 chrome 5 spokes and the AR's taking up space in my lower garage. I always figure that a buddy may need something down the road so I keep them.

With my 1st Corvette and no wife, I stacked 2 together, had some plastic cut and made 2 tacky end tables for the den that went well with my tacky Miller Light Sign

Took the polished sawblades off when I got the chrome 5 spokes. Tried selling them, nobody wants them. Guess they will just collect dust bunnies.

Default I'm thinking about powdercoating the sawblades

I have 96 sawblades that fit the 13 inch brakes. I've thought about having them black powdercoated. I have black ZR1s on the car now, but a few "black sawblade" threads have got me thinking. The sit in the attic above the garage over the Vette.

You didn't give the option "plan to sell" so I voted that I sold them. Haven't done it yet but once I install the C5 front brakes there's no turning back, the saw blades will have to go.
