Default Windshield wiper size

Are the wiper blades the same length on the left and right side on a 88 vette. I know my Malibu, and many other cars have different sizes L&R. Also, the hight they stand off the windshield. Mine are very close to the bottom of the hood. I just got the front clip repainted, and I don't want them to hit the lip on the backside of the hood.

I don't know about the 88's but on my 96 I had to buy a few different brands before I found one that didn't hit the hood. I finally bought Trico blades. They clear the hood with no problems. Both of the wipers on my 96 are 20" blades.

Default wipers

The Rain-Ex 20 inchers fit my '92 perfectly, but are pricey at about $8each. They work great, however.

Yeah, I would look at Trico Exact fit or Trico Teflon. Rain X and Anco Aerovantage would work too. The regular Michelin blades look like they may be low enough, but I'd just pick up the Trico. You can get them at Advance Auto Parts.

Factory is 20" on both sides. But some people have a problem with them hitting and put a 19" on the driver side. Though, you have to measure them as some of the offset blades are the same length on one side, which the Anco Aerovantage are this way on the small pin hole.

You could just put 19" all around and rotate them after 6 months if you don' t use them much.

I bought some at k mart. The chart there was way off then cuz it said 22 driver side and like 19 passenger. Ever since i got them my driver side hits the molding and makes an annoying noise. And just noticed it scratched the black away and scratched the window too.
The driver wiper is very loose too.... like wobbles

Bought several wiper blades and all hit the back of the hood.

Purchased the OEM at the dealership $13.00 each and they look great and do not hit the hood.

The aftermarket were $10 - $14 dollars and hit the hood and did not look as good as the OEM.

Just order the / and or purchase the originals and you will be glad.

I bought dealer C4 blades for my 89. They suck for 84-94. Don't buy GM blades for 84-94.

Sorry they did not work out for you,

the fit is great on my 96... performance I really do not drive it in the rain so I am not sure. Garage queen syndrome.

I bought those and the 20-4 also both hit the back of the hood on my 96

The OEMs were a perfect fit.

I am not to sure on how they perform yet.

I tried a couple of parts store blades that didn't work on
my '87. Dealer blades were fine. I hope they are still
available in 20 years when I need another set.

The dealer sells many different blades. The blades I'm referring to are the C4 specific blades for 84-94. They suck as they are real flimsy. I couldn't figure out why my wipers kept hitting no matter how I adjusted my blades. Put the old blades on and they quit hitting. I think it was because the C4 specific blades are flimsy causing play and shutter which causes them to hit.
