OK..Here Goes..
1) 31 kb for an avatar...how...
2) 247 °F oil temp on an '86 stock motor...anyone ever added an aux mount oil filter (duplex) and cooler ? who's cooler..? where to mount ? I really hate oil temps > 180°F but that's for an industrial engine but even Mobil 1 cooks at 220 +, no? What temp triggers SES light?

2a) Oil pressure 80 psi???? I wish...either a relief valve is stuck open someplace, or the sending unit has toasted from underhood heat (due to be replaced soon) ...any other ideas...

3) 220 °F + coolant temp...ok...optimum thermostat?? (yes, yes, I know, i need to see if the darn fan even turns on)

4) have (2) two dented intake runners...previous owner said he got it this way, some B.S. about factory tuning of intake runners...ahem...born at nite but not last nite....how the heck did they get dented, don't know.....guess replacement is only option here...

5) do the auto trans de-shifter modules work?? this damn auto wants overdrive at 30 mph...

6) anyone ever hang a peddle in an auto? a nice 6 speed would be what the doctor ordered...after 7) at least...

7) 235 rated factory BHP...anemic......300 is my initial goal.. 1 HP per in^3 would be nice....any suggestions welcome...will auto trans handle it or should I do # 6....it's a Late '86 best I can tell basis Al heads...

sorry for length but i have 44 years of pent up dreams finally coming true and with two kids in college doubt a C5 or C6 is in my future...
any help/thoughts/input/pound salt is appreciated guys.....

lets see:
1. I don't know
2. Maybe a tad high, but I wouldn't think you are out of the acceptable range yet.
2a. Oil pressure sender most likely needs replaced, does it stay at 80 all the time?
3. I like temps lower, but nothing to worry about with those temps.
4. I would do replacements, maybe upgrade at the same time. However, they do make dent removal *****, and there is another method where you fill with water and freeze, but I've heard mixed opinions on both.
5. Not sure what you are talking about...
6+7. The auto trans will handle 300 hp, no problems. Some small upgrades to the tranny can allow it to handle even more. Before I throw out ways to gain 70 hp, what is your overall goal for the car. If 300 is all, I would stick with the tpi intake (big mouth base, high flow runners, port plenum), open up the exhaust, throw in a mild cam and do some minor head work; that should get you close on somewhat of a budget.

Advice, don't worry about things so much, just enjoy it! You are driving a Corvette!
