My 1990 L98 engine has developed a starting problem. When the engine fires it runs about 3 to 5 seconds then stops. After this the engine has to be cranked about 10 seconds before it starts. I have to add throttle durring cranking for it to start and then it stumbles to life, acts like it has a lean mixture. The engine then performs normally, however the fuel economy is down about two miles per gallon. This start problem just developed, just after I filled up with fuel. I just drove most of this fuel out yesterday. Maybe the fuel is at fault? Any thoughts?

larry could be anything.. but see if your injectors bit the bullet.. ohm check the coils for starters.. it easy and free.. This will tell you alot about your problem if there are any out of range, They should be 14-16ohms all 8 +- .50.. They also could be clogged up from the bad fuel.
