Basically, you need your current offset and the offset of the new wheels. Subtract to find the difference. Convert that from MM to inches. Probably around 18mm. That should = about 3/4 inch spacers/adapters.

If you were dealing with identical wheel "widths" that will do but you mentioned C5's and you also mentioned an '84. It's much easier in a situation like yours to deal with "backspacing" because you only need two "tools" for correct measurements: (1) a straight edge and (2) a tape measure. Without knowing a good bit more information it's not likely "any of us" could give you a "correct" answer BUT we could all offer up a WAG"! If you know the widths and offsets of what you bought and can tell us what wheels are presently on the car there might be some information that can be passed on to you!
