Default Pulling the trigger on CCW 18"....

Well I'm set up to buy the Classics Big Street Package for C5s. Buying it off a forum member, the rims are 18 x 10 and 18 x 11.5.

So from research I need to switch to a 315 rear wheel. Also I need to get a 1/2 spacer. And need longer studs.

Questions are who makes a spacer I need?
I heard I can get wheels studs from Summit, which ones do I need? Size?
Is it hard to do the wheel studs? ARP?

CCW can set you up with the proper offsets so you don't need spaces.

BTW I love mine mine.

Nice I wanted to see a pic on a c4 I like it alot.
Like I said I bought them off a forum member I called CCW and they said I needed a 1/2 inch spacer. True?
Do I really need longer studs?
What sizes are yours?

Nice ride!!

Yes because they were a C5. If John @ CCW said you need them then you do.
They will be nice, black or polished?

What are the offsets? I have a +59 offset with a 18x11 with no problems and 335. +44 on the 9.5 x 18 in the front. Ofcourse, the ones you are talking about are another 1/2 wider though.

Im not sure on the offsets Im going to ask him. But CCW knew it and they responded with that I need a 1/2 spacer and there was mention of longer studs to make up for the spacer.

The ones I have are Polished

Nice choice....

Yes I would run longer studs, you will lose a lot of threads with 1/2 in spacer. I am using a 1/4" spacer on the passenger side (thanks to the C4 offset rear phenom) and it's on the outer limit. I really only need 1/8" but ned to have one made, then I will feel better. They are ZR1 offset 18x12.5 rear 18x10 front.

I bought the long wheel studs from Lingenfelter, they were GM studs. I believe they were 68mm in length.

Changing them is easy.

Before using spacers, test fit the wheels and make sure you need them.

I tried a set of the CCW "Big Boy" package on my car, they look good.

Hi Mojo,

can you please tell me the width and offset you have on rear and front.

I am intrested to buy a set here in Sweden from a C5 with this setup:
rear offset +64/11.5x18" and front offset +57/10x18"
I don't know if they are called "Big boy" package?
Do you use 275 all around?

thanks in advance
Regards
MickeW

Mine are a racing set, which is why they're not machined for center caps.

18x12front/17x12 rear
335 Hoosiers front and back.

Is even possible to lower it after these rims get put on?

I really can't find a 1/2 spacer. I found the 1/2 longer studs on DRM website. But they have 3/8 and 5/8 spacers. Can I just go with the 3/8s and be safe?

I grabbed the bag of studs and forgot them in the garage,Ill get the numbers in the morning,I think they are 68MM long and cost between $20-$30 for the rear only.Ive got 2 sets of spacers. One set at 9MM thick and the other set at 12MM thick.$65 for one set shipped. These are hub centric to the car only or you get a set of these that are hub centric to the car and to the wheel,$175.[IMG][/IMG]

Jeff-
I'm still learning about the wheel world. Hub Centric is basically the studs fixed or made onto the hub? Rather than stud only interchangeablity?

And you say you have one for sale? Can you try to send me a pic by sending it to my email. I saw you tried to post something but I'm currently deployed in the military and I can't view it thru the site.

12mm is not 1/2 but it closer than anything I've found so far. Is there a web site that was more information or them for sale that I can view? I want it to refer to.

Thanks

I have no idea what the offsets were. The wheels are in FLA on my buddie's car.

Hub centric means the hub of the rotor slips into a hole in the spacer. If you look at the picture of the spacer on my car,the center of the spacer slips into the wheel, these spacers are hub centric to the car and to the wheels. The spacers I have for sale arent hub centric to both but they dont cost $175 either.I will post a picture when I get a chance. The number for the studs is 22551491

CCW can also make spacers, not sure if they go up to 1/2", though.
