90 headlamp motor issues
Looking for advice. 90 vette, RH headlamp motor, opens and closes fine, lights work fine, to the best of my knowledge everything is factory, only owned for 1.5 year. Here's the problem---When I turn on the running lights and hook up the battery's (-)cable, the motor turns but does nothing to the light. This is only on the RH side. I can see the manual **** spin but nothing else happens. When I grab the manual **** to try and turn it without electrical hooked up, it goes a long way before it does anything, the LH comes to a complete stop by hand, where the RH does not. I know this is not normal, is my problem electrical or mechanical? Are the stops on this motor a torque stop, limit switch, or something else. The motor will run a cycle (always the same direction) every time you either rehook the battery or turn the running lights on. The other posts that I could find is steering me to the gears in the motor. Can anyone give me some insite on this problem?
