Hi, need some help/ advice.. ..I have a replacement front bumber/nose cone skin to replace existing one on my 94 convertible due to slight accident damage to paint..Have a Haynes work shop manual but does not go into great detail....is it an easy job to replace the bumper panel..will I need to disconnect air bag connections...? do the fog and side marker lights come off with the old panel or do they need to be removed before bumper is removed??? thanks Pete... .
Also need to remove rear factory luggage rack to repaint rear panel/ bumber, how do I get access the middle bolts/fixings to the rear wing/spoiler either side of the to gas flap?
You'll need an 8mm open end/box end wrench to remove several screws between the open hood and front edge of the bumper cover.
Next, remove the lip spoiler and center bumper/spoiler support bar then disconnect the fog light, parking light and headlight connections.
Remove a total of 6 torx bolts on each inside wheel well area and the bumper cover should be free.
The parking lights are attached to the bumper cover with two screws, you can leave them on. The fog lights are attached to the frame, you'll need a very tiny ignition wrench to remove the outer edge screw on one side of each fog light if you want to replace the fog lights.
There are no air bag sensors to disconnect or worry about.
To access the bolts for the rear wing/spoiler, remove the gas filler liner and go through there or remove the license plate bracket.
