95' PKE Question
Would leaving my keys in the car have any effect on the PKE
(Passive Keyless Entry) Transmitter Battery not lasting,say, 10 Mos. like the ownwers manual states?
Or is it better Not to leave it in the Ignition?

I wouldn't think it would matter, but then again I have never left my keys in the ignition either. So, I am not real sure.
But the battery in my key fob has been in there for almost 2 years now, and still going strong.

The owner's manual says that rocking the car will wake the fob up and unlock the doors, but it is not guaranteed. I used to keep my key and fob in the ignition of my 94 when it was parked in the garage. I would hear it clicking periodically when I was in another part of the garage, and I do not know what is happening, so I either keep the key and fob in the house or turn the PKE off if I leave the key and fob in the ignition. I turn it back on when I am going to drive it.
