Default C-5/C-6Fest ???

Spur of the moment yesterday (needed to get out of the house after surgery Wednesday)--decided to go to the "Mid Atlantic VetteFest"--sorry no pics--halfway there realized my camera was sitting on the kitchen counter--saw a few C-1s--7 or 8 C-2s--at least 10 C-3s--only 5-6 C-4s--I was hopeing to see a 95 or 96 with C-4/ZR-1 style chrome wheels OR C-5 style chrome 5 spokes--didn't happen---I guess as I've learned on the forums the C-4 REALLY is the forgotten generation---sorta sad though-a better name for the event would be C-5/C-6Fest!! Now-- I'm not against the later Vettes ( I LUV the C-5s-will likely own one in the future )---since I grew up in the "Stingray" era I really like flip up headlamps---just wish I could have seen more older Vettes -that's all!

C4 owners need to make an effort to go to Vette shows/events. I always try to make it. I went to the recent Breathless Performance dyno day event. It was alot of fun. There where a few C4s there but quite a few more C5/6s. Only a few slightly modded C5/6s ran on the dyno and I was the only C4. I just happened to put down better numbers that all the Vettes dynoed that day. Including 2008 LS2 C6.
A 1991 C4 won the peoples choice trophy.

We need to participate in Vette events. There were also a few C3s there. A really nice '78 was for sale for $15,000.

I like carshows but I have to laugh when I see all the nearly stock C5 and C6 Corvettes that the owners litter the parking lot with. WTF is it about owning a 20K used Chevy that makes it a showcar ? I might as well take my 2008 Mercury Grand Marquis and show it

Seems I really do see mostly stock C5/C6's at local shows anymore. When I do get mine out, even if she's not in the show, the car gets a LOT of attention, even from the newbie owners.

I have to believe the C4 will see a resurrection, especially with the bottom dropping out on value. Might spur more interest in owning a Vette for relatively little $.

If you're the only C4 at the show, clean enough or not, you just might take the C4 class

Last year at the corvette grand canyon run, there were only 3 C4's.
