i will be gettin soon the console lid spring,my button is ok
when the spring pushes the button out
where does it "lock" ?
on my console there is a little metal attached with a screw
but i suspect this is not original at all.....
any ideas ? and where can i get that "little part"
thanks
Thats where it locks....I am looking for one of those little "L" shaped metal clips myself. Mine was missing when I bought my car.....Let me know if you find any!!
i have it but i think its a "bootleg" custom made one
because somehow ...it does not lock it !
i have the nice cushion it adds weight to the lid and it does not open
but i would lke to have it "locked" and press the button to open it.-
i will try to "adjust it"

That's how they are built. Lock it with the key.
Kind of cheesy I think for such an excellent sports car.
You can adjust the little clip so it catches the button latch. You may have to bend it some to make it engage the latch. Come to think of it, I'd like mine to latch with the button too.
Mine doesn't have a spring that pushes up on the lid. Where does the spring go? I see a small round hole by the key lock pawl up on top. Is that it?

Yours must be an earlier model where they used to have a third key just for the glove box/trunk cars.
thanks you solved a big mistery for me
because i have made a post about it ...
and now i know that the inner stuff has different keys !
somehow i knew it, thanks !
