Rear Targa Latch
hey guy ya know that lil latch in the rear of the coupe cargo area where it holds the targa?? its that lil pin with the lever thingy just ahead of the hatch glasses latch?..... well where can i get one for cheap?? the previous owner of my car must have leaned over or something and snapped the **** thing on the sliding lever part off.... and well i can still use it but i'm a picky lil bastich and want the **** and all but i realized i will have to buy both the **** and the actual targa latch. any help on this will be appreciated.

Man our cars must have been seperated at birth...... The latch on mine is broken too and I was thinking about machining one out of aluminum so it would never break again. I was gonna post here to see if their was any interest in it, but new ones are like 12 bucks in a catalog and it would be too much work to machine them and sell them for 12 bucks. As soon as I get a new vise for my Drill-mill, I'm making one for me- if it turns out good mabee I can make another one for ya... :seeya

lol joe yep i told ya mines a salvage too well this was never told to me when i bought the vehicle and well i'm gonna go back to the crooks i bought it from..... the nerve of em! they call themselves Corvette Specialties and they sell me a salvage and don't mention it? and they don't mention that the vin in the door is scratched and the one in the dash is not the original???..... man..... if thats what corvette specialists are supposed to be like i don't think i'd have bought a vette... but i love it too much ahh corvette fever gotta love it... anyways i always go off topic on my posts :lol:
oh well maybe if i end up going to any cruise in's or what not to BG maybe we'll spot one another and the vettes can be reunited :D

I piched up the latch assembly from the dealer for my GS. Looking through my stacks of invoices I show a latch #14049200 that was only $7 new. I'm pretty sure that is the latch you need.
