just realized my third break light ontop of the roof isn't lighting up when i hit the brake.... umm how exactly do i replace the 4 bulbs in the darned thing??
i can see theres like 2 bolts and two of these other types of things i'd assume the bolts are what hold the housing of the third brake light onto the roof and the other two things are what keep the hatch glass attached to that lil piece the brake housing sits on??......... i just don't wanna break my rear hatch glass. so if anyone can tell me how to do this it'd be cool.

Re: Third Brake Light Question (dmalhi1)
Remove the two inner most ones. It only holds the housing on and nothing else. They're a torx bit head, forgot the size. Go ahead and replace all 4 bulbs at once so you don't have ot go in there again anytime soon.
any idea what size bulb fits there though? the haynes guide never mentions this stuff
i've gotta change my fog lamps to something of higher wattage aswell and my rear driver side reverse lamp on the side of the car is out aswell. oh well guess i'll pull the bulbs and see the sizes.

The owners manual list 891 for the rear high mount and it says not owner serviceable???? No clue as to why. Done it before on two different cars. Manual mentions 1156 for the back up lamp. To upgrade the fog lights use the 885 bulbs which are 50 watts, and don't forget to add the 15 amp fuse to the fuse panel to adjust for the additional power draw.
When you replace them , don't touch them, I believe they are halogen, my buddy replaced his and he touched one withhis bare finger and now it's blown again.
If you replace all four at once, you may as well forget about going out that night as you've spent all your beer money. Four of those bulbs will cost you around 45-50 bucks...
