When I first start my 93 LT1 A4 after sitting for a day or two, I get the SES light on right after start up. It stays on for about 10 minutes or so and then as I drive it go out on its own. This has happened about 3 times now. Every time I pull the code, I get a DTC 64 (lean condition). This only happens after the car has sat (at least) overnight and only on initial start up. the light then goes out on its own.
Any ideas? I am wondering if - somehow - there might be condensation forming in the fuel system or something over a longer period of inactivity.

ohm check you injectors. all you need is an ohm meter
That's where to start. The thing that bothers me is the O2s are not in the loop at startup so you should not be seeing this .
I know, it's weird... and then it just goes away. I am assuming the car is still good to go because there is not hesitation, no misses, no rough idle, nothing. Car drives great in fact.
I guess I'll just keep driving the car until something a little more concrete happens. The thing drives just fine and the code 54 only pops up on start up.... it just seems that if my injectors were a problem that the code would be a little more consistent, like popping up on every start up. I am a little concerned because the code 64 specifies a lean condition and I don't want to harm the engine, but the lean condition seems to correct itself within the first 10 minutes of start up...
So in short, I guess I'll just keep driving the car, clear the codes and check the ohm of the injectors when I get a chance.
