My interior is looking "worn" (best word i can think of for -why didnt previuos owner take care of it?). I have bought a few new pieces and have fixed some stuff on my own, and have alot more to do. My question is, has anybody restored the original (bose?) speaker grills? Mine all are complete and no holes, but the fabric (speaker grill fabric) is faded and just in tough shape, the logo's are all faded and gone. I pulled one apart and it appears i can with some real "LUCK" get them apart and put some new fabric on them and repaint them. Anybody done this or tried to reapir/restore them?

I have done mine. Go to a fabric shop or a upholstry place and pick out your material. I cut out my fabric to size the with spray glue streched and glued and tucked until I got it right. This takes time and be patient. Then got some interior dye from a local paint shop to match my interior and dyed them. You can buy new emblems but they are very expensive. I took my old ones and painted them with my model paint. I was creative and did a custom look.
i did my rear grills on my 84 when i had it, the big thing is don't get in a hurry... my plastic was broken in some areas, so i superglued the broken areas back in, and got some regular blaco fabric from walmart, and they turned out great
