I am a firm believer in the philosphy of softish springs and firm roll bars with stout bushings and good shocks.
this will provide a great ride, without rattling you to pieces and at the same time give great handling.
if your spring rate is too high, the suspension will not respond smoothly and can become twitchy. Hell, at Sebring, the race teams soften the springs and firm up the bars to find the balance that will work on that bumpy track.
BTW, BMW and Audi are pioneers in this game... GM finally caught up in the late 80s early 90s.
Personally, I like the balance of my Vette. But could be better... and it will!
Hell I have the soft ride on the vert and I get tossed and bounced all over the place here in japan...maybe its because the roads suck!!!!
sorry........

I have FE1 springs and have already upgraded to ZO7 sway bars. I would be best to just leave the FE1 springs and get some good shock?????
I would... I have the FE1, also... and if I did an upgrade, I was going either coil overs or stock replacement... I need to do something... the rear spring is delaminating!!!
