Do you really need a turbo kit to make 300hp? That's like a nitrous kit with a 25hp shot.. what's the point?

I do like the vacuum idea, however.

The point is that they were autocrossing, n20 not allowed, and secondly they only had like 2008$ to spend on it or something like that.

So doing nice custom piping to make it fit, or other crap wasn't an option. I'm just impressed they could do all of that with their budget.

I swear at the end of the burnout the car blew a smoke ring.... It isnt pleasant to look at and I cant believe it only puts out 300 hp (maybe thats rear wheel HP) which if thats the case its only a little more than my stock LT1. But the vacuum thing is very interesting. I am intrigued on how that works. does it just suck the car to the ground or something.

This car may not be much to look at, but man did it do the job. For just $2008, they got it to just smash the competition in the Grassroots Motorsports competition, which is the only reason it was built. They had a great article on it two or three issues ago.

I read about it too That was a turbofan from an M1 tank engine
Nutty idea, but they made it work!
