Default Replacing Center Caps 87

Can you remove and replace the center caps from an 87 coupe stock wheel while it is still on the car without destroying the old ones and getting the new ones on easily and safely?

Was hoping I didn’t have to lift the car, still not real comfortable jacking it up around the gas and brake lines.

I did a search and a thread came up about replacing but when I kicked on the thread I got an error message about not being able to display it.

They just snap in but you may have a hard time getting them out without scratching the wheel.

They pop right off when not on the car.

Careful popping them off though as the tabs can easily break off. It is best to take the wheels off the car. Use a floor jack with a shop rag or block of wood to protect the body and jack from the side like this. The entire side will lift up. You can easily feel along the edge of the car to make sure you are not damaging anything.
