The sun visors on my 92 convertible have deteriated to the point that they are an eyesore to me and anyone behind me. Anybody know of some type of "slip cover" I could slide onto them? I realize I would lose the mirror and lamp on each one, but I don't care about that.
you can buy the pair of them on ebay, with the lights and mirrors, for about 160. a direct OEM replacement. very much worth the cash and a very easy install.
I don't know of a slip cover for the visors but copla years ago have recovered mine along with installing new cardboard to eliminate the "floppy ear" syndrome.
If you have the time it really isn't a hard job and very rewarding to see the "new visors" again.
The fabric on my visors is still good, but they had the "floopy ears". I fixed this easily at no cost. Take a of piece of stiff wire (eg. coat hanger) and sharpen one end. Feed this end into the seam area at the corner until it's completely inside. Ta-da....no more droop.
