Default Deteriating sun visors

The sun visors on my 92 convertible have deteriated to the point that they are an eyesore to me and anyone behind me. Anybody know of some type of "slip cover" I could slide onto them? I realize I would lose the mirror and lamp on each one, but I don't care about that.

I don't know of any slips, but I replaced mine on my coupe; it didn't take much time and it wasn't that expensive.

Did yours have lights, i.e., wiring to mess with?

you can buy the pair of them on ebay, with the lights and mirrors, for about 160. a direct OEM replacement. very much worth the cash and a very easy install.

I got mine refurbished by this place. They did an excellent job.
Cost about $75, last year.

I don't know of a slip cover for the visors but copla years ago have recovered mine along with installing new cardboard to eliminate the "floppy ear" syndrome.
If you have the time it really isn't a hard job and very rewarding to see the "new visors" again.

I just took mine off! I never used them anyway, and it really cleans up the look of the windshield, especially with the top off.

Thanks Stealth. Why didn't I think of that? I've never used mine either.

I think that was the first thing I did with mine.

The fabric on my visors is still good, but they had the "floopy ears". I fixed this easily at no cost. Take a of piece of stiff wire (eg. coat hanger) and sharpen one end. Feed this end into the seam area at the corner until it's completely inside. Ta-da....no more droop.
