Default Ashtray permanent?

The LT4 I just bought has an ashtray in one of the cupholder areas. I lift up on the snuffer and it won't budge.. Are the ashtrays permanently attached? If not, how do you remove?

Thanks!

It should not be permanently attached. Mine just lifts right out.

Maybe a previous owner "glued" it in.

I agree, it should just lift out.

On my previous LT4, the ashtray was gone and it had another cup holder rubber mat.

It might just be "old" soda. Try taking it to a professional detailer. They usually have a steamer for the interior area. Enough steam applied may be enough to loosen it up so it can be removed. My husband works on soda machines and he uses one on them. Just an idea.
