Default Need help! 95 coupe electrical problems

I don't know if it's all part of the same problem, but let me relate what's happened so far. About five months ago, while leaving for work one morning in one of our other vehicles, I noticed that the 95's right front side marker light was on. I popped the hood and ran my hand between the harness and the front bumper and got a burn just as several wires started to fizzle and burn. I disconnected the battery and found that five wires in that harness were damaged and it looked like the harness had been rubbing on the bumper. I cut the wires back and spliced them and everything worked fine. A few weeks ago when we were having some really hot weather, I turned the air on and noticed that it was coming from the defrost and floor vents...not the dash vents. I turned the air off and tried each button on the heat and air control and each indicator light would come on, but the air still came from the defrost and floor only. Then a couple of days ago I needed to move the car, and I put the windows down. When I was done with what I was doing, I put the drivers window up, but when I hit the switch for the pass side..nothing. I then tried the drivers side again and it did nothing...but, I noticed that when I hit either window switch, the indicator light for the rear window defrost would come on...when I let go of the switch, it goes off. I tried the door lock switch and it didn't lock the doors, but it lit the rear defrost light as well.
Right now I have the battery disconnected...and don't really know where to start. Any help is really appreciated!

I think part of your problem may lie under the pass/side fuel rail cover where a vacumn valve has probably failed. This pic will show the location.

Thanks! This valve is deteriorated and needs replaced. I'll let you know how it goes after I pick up a new piece.
