Anybody with an 84 vette with a different setup on it than a crossfire? Has anybody pulled up to the track and blown someone away and told them it is a crossfire but you don't lift the clam shell and just freak people out? That would be great.
I don't think most people would recognize a Crossfire car vs any other C4 if you didn't lift the hood. I imagine people would be astonished if any older C4 blew them away at the track, as the cars don't seem to enjoy a reputation of being fast anymore.
I doubt most other car owners know the difference between a Crossfire and a TPI Corvette. All they are thinking is its a 350. The Crossfire biggest hang up is lack of fuel and air in the combustion chamber. That can be fixed easy enough with a Xram or Ported manifold. Although I do not drag race my 84 the previous owner claims he surprised many a TPI owner with the mods on this 84 which still uses the Crossfire set up?

Maybe I should get some "Crossfire Injection" gill moldings to put on my car! It's possible I could still lift the hood, and that people would assume that's what the Crossfire looked like. I don't blow anyone away at the track though, I seem to usually end up next to much faster cars.
