I'm not sure what C3's you guys are driving........I own a '96 and a '79 and love them both. Sure, the C3 is not as refined as the C4....DUH! They are a much older car! Anyways.......I love my '96 and will NEVER get rid of my '79.

You don't drive a C3 for the ride comfort the car is a piece of american sports car history and it's a fun car to drive

I have a 94 and the handling and such is night and day but they're still Corvettes and are fun to drive...with me at least.

Default My first was a 72....

.......I loved that car, still have a soft spot in my heart for her. I put radials on it & that softened the ride a bit. Just can't beat those chrome bumper sharks, JMHO, they look soooo specially with the side pipes.

Mine was an LT-1 w/air and maybe it may not be much of a match for my 90.....the Z has all the bells & whistles & I can even sit in B to B traffic w/ the air on and the motor doesn't mind....but there is just something about those early C3's in the looks department.

Yea, some fond memories with my 72.

Beautiful dash, gauges, sterring wheel, seats, they're beautiful cars and very well made. The IRS sucks in the rain though.

The interior of the later cars is K-Mart cheap. That ugly streering wheel in the C4's is the pits. Its only a little better in the LT-1's.
C3's getting in and in is a breeze. In C4's its like an act from a Chinese Circus.

If the cars were the same price Id still go with a C4...........gas mileage.

So you like Colorado huh? Most who visit do like it & return again!

Now, OT... Of all the things you list I can only see where one is an actual "possible" fact. (the T-top issue). The rest of what you list is completely based on opinion.

To say that a C3 is well made is craziness Body panel alignment & the wavy finish of the panels was terrible from the factory. It takes a talented body man to straighten them out & get them smooth.

That said. I do love the looks of the Shark bodied cars..... I wouldnt want another one though...unless maybe it was just to "have"... not to really drive.

The C4 is better all around for performance & usefulness, as well as functionality. And as I said, I like the looks of the C3, just like the C4 better!

I strated out in body and paint in a Corvette repair shop and I have repaired many a C1, C2, and C3's. Excellent cars as far as fit and finish.

The C4's on the other hand are a compltely differnet animal. If money were no object I'd skip them all and get a C6.
I drove C2's and C3's forever and loved every minute of it.
Ive owned 10 Corvettes and Ive never met one that I didn't like.

Ive rented 3 women and they were all bad.........

Hey TIMSCOTT that 79 would go better with the 96 if it was red. J/K. I have a 79 and 96 also. I would sell the 96 before I would sell my C3. I didn't buy a vette for comfort more for style, I love the 78-79's, the performance on the 96 is nice though. I love all vette's, I would have 1 from every generation if I could.

Hey Durk......Very nice rides! Your '96 is a CE also I see Very cool. I know what you mean, My '79 gets soooo much attention when I drive it, it's cool. I also agree that the performance of the CE is amazing.
