When I try to lock or unlock my doors from the drivers side, the drivers lock seems to be very sluggish and more often than not it will not unlock the drivers door, the passengers side seems fine and will always lock and unlock without any problem. Now I have taken the slider out and checked with just the bar and it is still sluggish and will not go all the way to unlock the door, even when I use the alarm to unlock it, the same still happens. In breif conversation someone feels it might be the "Doorlock Actuator". If so can you remove the door panel and somehow take the old actuator out and clean it, or do you have to buy new ones? I am in the process of replacing my old weather stripping and I will be removing the door panel anyway to replace the window sweeps that are on the ouside of the windows, I figure might as well kill 2 birds with 1 stone.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks Chris
I'm not sure I understand what you are asking. Does the manual lock slider move easy, or is it a high effort? If this is the case, you will need to pull pad and check for any missing/damaged clips first. Then lube the door lock assembly good. The power lock actuator acts independently of the manual slide rod IIRC. Good luck.
I had that problem and sprayed silicone lubricant in the keyhole from the outside. Worked the key back and forth and sprayed some more. It then all started to work properly from the inside too. I guess it was just all gummed up. Good luck.

Thanks for all your help guys, I'll try the easiest and cheapest fix first.
Thanks again !
