...i know this has been discussed......but how do you keep the cats off the car overnight? is there some product out there that will drive them off, and yet be non damaging to paint and other areas of the car?

Try this, just aim carefully as not to damage your Vette
kill cats, get rid of cats or keep car in garage and don't let the cats in the garage. I'm still dumbfounded why this is a problem. I know there are cat lovers that might hate me..so be it. Wait til you start it someday and the cat is under the hood somewhere....
My brother-in-law purchased an electrically charged blanket that plugs in to the cigarette lighter. Didn't harm the car, but shocked the cats. He said after a few days he had no more cats on his BMW. He got it online.
My CE lives in the garage, covered at night and Kitty still bothers it. She even sharpened her claws on the cover over the bumpers and ruined the cover in the process. No harm to the paint, thank goodness but an irritating habit none the less. Sometimes I'll throw a tarp over the cover which helps, but it's something of a PIA to do.
I shaved the fluffy neighbor cat like a lion and painted his tail orange after catching it in my garage. He is now a house cat I see him sitting in the window. He is lucky my dog didn't get him see my sig
Well, I'm a cat-lover, but I did have to give away my long-haired male white car because it slept on my black convertible top, left a mess, and other male cats would spray on it. My orange female (Hotcam) sometimes sleeps on it, but I just spend 1 minute with a lint roller twice a week, and all is fine.
Park a Ford next to it. Cats are smart and know what to **** on.
Now that's funny If you don't have a Ford available, try a few carefully placed mothballs. Not too many though or your car will smell like grandma's house!
I've been having this problem lately as well with neighborhood cats getting on my DD. I've found moth ***** placed around the car helps. One drawback is that I find the smell obnoxious as well. I'm thinking of picking up one of those mats mentioned above. Scat Mats, I do believe they are called.

That's a good one, will have to remember that one.
