Due to a very poor tinting job, it was impossible to avoid damaging the defroster wires on the 65' Vette when we removed the plastic tint material. Where do I get a replacement rear window with a working defroster? Thanks from Canada!
My question is why do you care? Are you planning on running your
Vette in the winter? I tinted mine and was told not to use the defroster
which won't be an issue. I would think a new rear window will cost you
big $$$'s if you can find one. Good luck
There used to be kits for restoring the individual grid lines if they got broken. Unless you have all kinds of breaks or long pieces that are loose from tearing off the film, you might want to try these kits.
The windows themselves are fairly expensive and have some hefty shipping cost not only from the weight, but from the size of the container. And if you were to find on in the States, you could also see big customs fees and GST. It might be worth finding one in the US and simply drive to where it is and put it on there.
