He might be right.-
He might be wrong.-
I don't like blue,he likes blue
I like chocolates,he does not...
12 Years of production can't be wrong....
Do you think the C6 design will last 12 years ?
Answer that
That is why there are menus at the restaurants. If you are happy with the C4 that is what counts.I like all Vettes. I still have not formed an opinion on the C6-I personally like the hidden headlights.

But, I gotta tell ya...If you want to hear more C4 bashing than you'll hear just about anywhere else, come to this forum!
Maybe it's b/c I have gray hair, but I like um all. I view them from the perspective of what they were in their day, Each of them was a top drawer performer. In the Corvette you can see the progression of technology from one "C" to another, and even w/in a model series.
Something else...Reading posts (gripes) on the C4 on this forum, it seems to me that it is primarily from one perspective only - that being 1/4 mile performance. To hear (read) some people "talk", it is the only measure of performance an a car's worth!
Well, nothing against drag racing, but if that is your "thing" why are you running / comparing an independent suspension car against a straight axle car in the first place?? That aside, even in a drag race the performance of a stock L98 Vette against a stock car of it's era is no slouch! Now, if you want to open up the window to include road courses, the Vettes were excluded from the SCCA races in 1989 to "level the field". (the Challenge cars - w/ L98s, BTW - never lost a race)
IMO, I think the C4's problem is it is new enough (or looks new enough) to be included in the realm of today's cars and is unavoidably compared to today's technology. And, it isn't old enough to be considered and "old classic" the way the C1, C2, or C3 are today: All-out performance nuts look down on the C4's two-decade old technology - mostly from 1/4 performance alone - and scoff. The Vette is sooo much more than just a 1/4 mile sled.
Taken on the whole, a well maintained, clean and cared for C4 is a hand full of fun - even by today's standards. And, if performance is what rings your chimes, the C4s respond well to mods.
OR...you could buy the ZR-1...

and fear not!

As Paul saud the only place Ive seen Vettes really bashed is at Corvette Forum.
Sounds like the OP is jealous of the new Z. Its a bad to the bone ride, the body could have used a little waking up IMO. I have to go back and read some more.

Edit: Those guys gotta be kidding...That new Z is a badass ride. Guess the old hater comes out when you cant afford it.
There are drivers, then there are enthusiasts.
