Default 1990 L98 motor replacement

Hello everyone,
I'm looking to replace the L98 motor in my 1990 vette. I've ran into some problems like.....GM performance parts does not sell the motor anymore! Well, I've been doing research and found that the ZZ4 crate motor is a good candidate to replace my L98.

My questions:
1. Will my stock TPI set-up fit the ZZ4 crate engine without modifications?
2. Will there be any other modifications / expenses that will arise if I buy the ZZ4 motor?
3. Any recommendations for the install??

Thanks guys and my hears are wide open on these questions.

1) Yes. Possible need to tune because you have a map sensor car. You will need to swap your oem 6 3/4 inch balancer on it, along with waterpump.
2) Not really, other than a prom tune.
3) Easy swap. I recommend using the factory vette pan and windage tray and oil pump pick up.

I had Exotic Muscle in AZ put a ZZ4 into my '90/A4. Intake bolted right up, no problems. Runs great. You won't be disappointed. While your in there & if your budget allows go to a 26-2800 TC courtesy of Pete Kane. Good luck to you.

?? Not sure what you mean about the '26-2800 TC' ??

Thanks Pete K for clearing that up for me :-)

Do you think I should install the old intake or find a mini ram intake? Will it make a difference? If so, where would you recommend looking for one?
