Hi all I been retired now for about 6 months I took a road trip with a buddy it was a kind of a strange one we were going to go to Fla but with all the hurricanes we decide not to go that way hard to get gas in some of the southern states so we decided to go to new Mexico we left Baltimore MD and headed down the road we were on the road for about 8 or 9 hours
we stopped at a rest stop in Indianapolis and took a break I happened to look at a map they had in the rest area and saw we were over 1300 miles away I said WOW this is going to take forever to get there so we were talking and my buddy said ok lets go to Maine and eat some lobster neither of had been there so we did a u-turn and headed back.
we stayed the night in Ohio and then went to see a buddy in Buffalo NY
then we headed up to Maine we went up rt 1 on coast to and all around Maine. we stayed 2 days and then we decide to go to Vermont we drove all over the state ( never knew how small it was) then back to Maryland
