ECM in a '87 coupe, where is it?

How difficult to change?

On my '92 its under the hood and easy to switch out. On your car I believe its on the passenger side, under the dash. I think there are two screws to remove the panel before you can see it.

Behind the bread box on passenger side. Tight area to work. Some screws are hard to find and get to. Best if you have a FSM to guide you thru.

You can lay on your back in the passenger compartment and remove it. You will need to remove the plastic cover containing the light first. No need to remove anything else.
