My '95 with 125k miles just failed inspection. The inspector said there was too much play in the front wheels. He said the tie rod end and ball joints were OK but the bushings were too worn to pass.
I'm thinking that, if I'm going to have to replace the bushings, I might as well replace the tie rod ends and ball joints while I'm at it. Even if they pass inspection, they undoubtedly have some wear after 125k miles.
Does anyone make a complete kit for rebuilding the front end on a '95? I keep finding kits for older cars but none that cover a '95. I find bits and pieces - Summit has a front control arm bushing kit but it doesn't include anything else.
If no one's aware of a complete kit, is there a list anywhere that covers the exact parts you need? I don't want to get halfway through the job and realize that I'm missing this one part and have to wait three days for it to be shipped in.
Prefect, thank you! Just what I was looking for. I spent two hours on Google yesterday trying to track that down and couldn't find it. Spend five minutes writing a post on this site, wait another ten minutes and I have the answer. I love this place!
If your front bushings are bad enough they failed inspection, I'd strongly suggest you rebuild the rear as well while your tearing into the car as they can't be too much better (unless of course they've already been done).
