radio problem question.

radio problem question.
Need your help again. Yesterday i was taking a drive with my wife and the radio went real loud all of a sudden and i turned it down and again loud and then the speedometer flashed a big 200 for a second while I was at a stop light on neutral. The radio does that frequently but i was just thinking i need a new radio, but with the mph that flashed a number I m thinking it might be a electrical problem that might be coming. Is this normal for a 96 C4? Also the traction control comes on or off once in a great while too. I m thinking its nothing to be worried about and its just a c4 thing. Hope thats just the case. Thanks for your help in advance once again.

My 95 with the stock Radio has started that loud thing too.
I haven't got it diagnosed it yet but it will be in the radio or receiver or possibly the speakers which have booster on each one.
You can bet it will be expensive though.
You can buy a whole system with GPS Radio , CD and built in alarm system for $ 1400 bucks.
The problem with aftermarket is two things. Your service engine light will stay on unless you do a fix with a resister installed and also you have to make sure you run a jumper wire so the ant mast goes up.
It's operated wen you turn the radio on it completes a ground.
