I needed one for the 93 Z/28 in Jan. and none were available. The only recource was to get on waiting list for 3-4 months or have GM rebuild it in 10-14 days, choose the latter. Check with your Chevy dealer.
The ECMs will work but some other problem will arise. I stuck a ZR-1 in my 92 (non ZR-1) and it ran ok but the gauges were all over the place. I got a high idle and the speedometer was going up and down while at a stoplight. Had this going on for 3 weeks until I found the right ECM. Now every thing is back to normal. Sold the ZR-1 ECM on Ebay for 300.00.

I dealt with Bryan Herter. Set a couple of custom parameters and the turn around time was great. I recommend to all.
