I would suggest that you go to the "tech section" of the C4 forum and read the sticky at the top of the section. It will answer all of your HP questions about what works and what does not.

A couple of things that I did to my 94, were adding shortie headers and 1.6 roller rockers w/ LT4 springs. My car picked up 5 mph and was 5/10 of a sec. faster in the 1/4 mi.
An "LT4 Hotcam" and electric water pump are in my future as well.
Changing the gear ratio of the differential really wakes up these cars, too.
