I would rather take the injectors out say every 100K and have them tested so I KNOW what the spray pattern is and how well they work as opposed to dumping stuff in the tank and HOPE that it is clean and working.

So you do zero maintenance up to 100k miles?
I've followed this procedure on 5 Corvettes over 11 years and never had an issue.
I only spray test the injectors on my ZR-1 and that is because there are 16 of them.
If injectors were clogged you would see it in performance.
Injector cleaners plus top tier gas cleans injectors. What do you think it does.. nothing?

I run good gas and put stabilizer in it for the winter.
Yes and no. Problem is that it won't get clogged suddenly and start running badly. It is very gradual and therefore harder to notice than say a plug wire coming off. On my OM606 diesel engine, I took them out at 100K and there was 1 clogged one and 5 good ones. Cleaned that one and the spray was good again. Picked about 1 mpg up. Before I did the cleaning, I could not tell. After the cleaning, the wife-o-meter seem to see some better acceleration. Not sure.
Not sure. Nothing documented at this time, is there?
I've got a '96 with 120K miles, I used injector cleaner, it didn't really seem to make a big difference, but I figured it could be good preventative maintenance anyways.
I would certainly say its good to use it every once in awhile, it couldn't hurt. Just make sure you don't put it into a near empty tank or anything.
Chevron Techron is good stuff. The problem with the cheaper gas is the sulphur and can even screw up your sender unit in the gas tank. They say one to two treatments can clear it up. But if you're using the upper tier gas I think you can go for awhile between treatments.
