Plexiglass Coating
I did a very stupid thing, I was working on my 89 vette coupe with the top off and because I wasn't finished I just set the top on. Later that night I decided to go for a ride and "you guessed it" the top came off and went sliding down the interstate at 70MPH. With a lot of work I have gotten all the scratches out but I don't know what kind of sealer was on it from the facrory, can anyone help? By the way it looks better than it did but thats a very hard way to learn. Thanks for your help.

flying parts
In the 80's I put a fiberglass hood on my 69 camaro. One day I forgot to lock the hood locks. Driving about 40 miles an hour, the hood opened and the fiberglass hood went flying in the wind. When I picked up the hood along side the road, the scoop portion was the only part that survived. Cut the scoop of and glassed it on my old steel hood. I felt pretty stupid that day.
BTW the fiberglass hood was less than a week old too.
Still laugh about it 20 years later.
