Hi new to the forum, and am waiting to get a vette of my own, I have been checking out pic's of some of the cars here and am wondering whats with the twin stripes on the drivers side front fender??
as for the twin stripes on the fender ya better start calling em, "Hash Marks" before the masses become restless and summon the corvette gods to strike down upon you. :jester
yeah those hash marks are used on Grand Sport corvettes theres a long story behind them i'm sure someone knows it better than i do but the story about those hash marks was this. there were three identical grand sport corvettes and just so the drivers who know which car theirs was they painted these hash marks on their driver side fender just to remind them that red is this guys, black was this guys and so on.
thats a bit of the story but do some research on Grand Sport corvette and you'll find the story i remember reading it or if not just wait for one of the other corvette junkies on here to post it for ya and teach you something new.
and do let us know what kind of corvette you are looking into and until then atleast keep on waving at each corvette ya see :) :seeya
take care and have a good one
again i welcome you to the forum :chevy
ps- its odd how you're in saskatchewan and call yourself delta when i live in BC in an area called delta.
Well I am looking around for a mid 80's (price reasons) maybe going with an auto, if i do it will be the first car i have owned with one,and as for the wave, I ALWAYS wave when on the Ninja.
