I just finished changing my spark plug wires and had to share what some of the old wires looked like. I was getting a slight glow from cylinder 3 and 5. I didn't think the car ran lean, it ran fairly smooth for the mods done, and I just purchased the car in May, so I thought the tune was the problem. Wrong, it was 2 spark plug wires. Yep, number 3 and number 5. I knew of one problem on number 5 and taped it up at one time, but each had problems right where the plugs went behind the power steering pump. Well, below is a picture of each wire.
The car was a handful before, now it is just a white-knuckle ride. 1st gear is now completely useless, 2nd is interesting, and the car actually pulls pretty hard in 6th gear.
All I can say is Accel spiro 300+ wires =
MSD 8.5 mm =
To be fair, I don't know how old the Accel wires were.
